Close but not quite...! I'm ready to be corrected if I've got the wrong end of the stick, but as I understand it the loco has been overhauled by Bill Parker's workshop at the Flour Mill in the Forest of Dean and is being run in at the AVR prior to travelling back to Bodmin where it's based. 4247 spent a few weeks at the AVR in the summer of 2005 (when it was pained in GW green) under a similar arrangement.

That could well be the case. Thank's for the correction.get_that_bus_out wrote:....but as I understand it the loco has been overhauled by Bill Parker's workshop at the Flour Mill in the Forest of Dean and is being run in at the AVR prior to travelling back to Bodmin where it's based.
Does anyone have any news about which days the loco will be out and about?
It would be fantastic to see the loco haul a goods train over the River Avon rail bridge. <BJ.
