I was thinking of joining you at the GWR but if you've got the family in tow then maybe not :P
They don't bite you know! (well, not often!)

If we go I'll let you know what time I expect to be there. It's impossible to plan in advance... we're always late wherever we go

You got a mobile yet?

(ooops! I edited your post instead of quoting it!! Sorry about that!)

~ I can do the same   ~

Nope, no mobile! I choose to remain in the stone (or should that be steam?) age!

I'll probably get the 0948-1110 train there...maybe the 0844-1010 but that does sound a bit early

The WSR Diesel Electric Preservation Group wants a new loco, and they have eyes on either a 37 or 47. They don't want a 50 (dunno why), and 20s aren't powerful enough apparently :(

Be nice to see a split headcode 37/0 in green...they'll have to get one with steam heating whatever happens :P

Cameras

Post by Mike »

Canon 300D if your feeling keen.

or

I always carry a Canon IXUS, have a 500. Gave to the "Old Man"just got a IXUS 700, brill camera. Rated :-)

I have used the cameras more than the SLR.

Good for Train Stff, but mainly MTB Extreme Sports.

Get a Canon.

James, did you go to the GWR diesel gals in the end?

We went, but got there quite late.

Nah, I decided against it. The Mid Hants says that Merchant Navy class "Canadian Pacific" will be in steam this month, and the Bluebell are saying the same about West Country "Blackmoor Vale". When it comes to expensive trips I have to get my priorities right
