This is the original forum of the Bristol Railway Archive that existed between 2003 and 2013. I finally rescued it after it seemed unrecoverable after a large crash. I have made it available for viewing. It is locked, all posts to the new version please!
Use this forum to talk about the railways in and around Bristol, or for any off-topic stuff you want to share. Also request photos and information that you are missing.
Not Yatton, there are no canopy's in this photograph, have a look at the photograph of Yatton in the 60's on this site. Also the footbridge is wrong. 1466 was shedded at Taunton or Tiverton junction in the 60's so i would suggest it is somewhere in that area.
Holy poop, you guys are good! Having seen those pictures it does look like you guys are spot on with it being Tiverton.
At least it got the brain cells going for all of an hour!

No problem! Its parent site "Subterranea Britannica" is also well worth a visit...full of interesting and spooky abandoned bunkers, underground stations, wartime headquarters etc.
The link i posted is to a guys site that takes railway pictures professionally, it is really worth a look at. I know not the Bristol area but some of them are of working steam in China taken this year!!
