North Somerset River Bridge at Marsh Junction

Post by nineflover »

Does anyone have any photos of the double track girder bridge crossing the Avon at Brislington before or during demolition for the spine road in the early 90s? It must have been quite a task as it was a 200 feet clear lattice girder span. Someone must have photographed the giant crane lifting the girders out? i'm puzzled why the substantial limestone abutments were demolished,? anyone shed any light?

Google Sketchup, 3D creation for all ! precisely rebuild a demolished station with photo textures, walk through it, even export it to pc train sims!

Good old Mao Zhu :D

If you have Photoshop or some other whizzy program, that might help you zoom in. It's the bridge in the bottom left hand corner...
