North Somerset River Bridge at Marsh Junction
Does anyone have any photos of the double track girder bridge crossing the Avon at Brislington before or during demolition for the spine road in the early 90s? It must have been quite a task as it was a 200 feet clear lattice girder span. Someone must have photographed the giant crane lifting the girders out? i'm puzzled why the substantial limestone abutments were demolished,? anyone shed any light?
