I think Murco now own the access road as they have been spending a lot of money on it and they are trying to buy the old rubbish railhead. The visitors carpark also belongs to Murco. You can go and buy the latest ordnance survey map and it will be out ...

All thats needed is a bit of common sense and it will not be ruined for everybody.

You may not think the lines are used much but when I was there a few weeks ago a track maintenance machine came in and parked under the motorway. What would have happened if people were on the tracks then!

Just to clarify a couple of points.
The Murco carpark is private property. Why not park in the layby further up and walk down.
People were wandering on the tracks hence the concern.

Remember the Murco site if a fuel storage depot hence the fact they do not like people wandering about. Just think if ...

Warning about trespass.

At Murco westerleigh today some people drove up the road (which is private), parked in the Murco carpark and then went wandering around the locomotive.
Just a note to say that the supervisor on duty was not amused to say the least!!!
Please remember this road is private. I think they turn a blind ...

A few days ago (I forget which day) I saw a cab in primer on the back of a lorry heading north up the M5 towards Bristol. Could this be the replacement cabshell I wonder?

I went past the quarry entrance early one morning some time ago and noticed a number of road/rail machines had been dropped off in the entrance. Maybe they were doing some work on the lines within the quarry.

Is the quarry going to run stone trains again?
Early this monday morning I saw road/rail plant outside the quarry waiting for the gates to open and twice this week I have saw Network Rail gangs at Latteridge crossing.
