Engineering work on railway line
Engineering works have begun on a Wiltshire railway line, leading to nine days of disruption to services between Swindon and Bristol.
Tracks are being replaced at Wootton Bassett, west of Swindon, resulting in major timetable alterations.
Passengers face cuts in services, re-timings, route diversions or journeys by a replacement bus.
Train operator First Great Western has advised people to check their travel times before setting out.
Regional manager Andrew Griffiths said: "It's a very major piece of work that's happening, it's part of a ú750m investment.
"It's going to make the railway much more reliable and it does mean there'll be some short term pain, as it were, for passengers trying to travel in the next week."
