Nicked from SW gen on Yahoo. Posted there by SPT

'150238 caught fire today at Oldfield Park on 2V83 from Weymouth to Filton. The train was evacuated and thankfully there were no injuries to any traincrew and passengers. It was shunted into Bath Goods Loop eventually after causing mega disruption during the Bristol - Bath rush hour. Early indications state that unit has been severaly damaged and could be a write off. '

The fire was in the transmission of the 57xxx car and was the result of a collapsed axle. The unit will have to be "skated" back to depot.
