Steam returns to Bath Green Park

Post by James »

S&D Fowler 7F 2-8-0 No. 53809 should be in place at Bath Green Park station by now, and she'll be there all day tomorrow (Sunday) before heading to the WSR to join her sister 53808 and many other S&D veterans for the massive 2-weekend Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway-themed gala.

53809 Bath Green Park

Post by NDTSDN »

I was there it was a very good atmosphere.

I was also at Bath Green Park Shed 40 years ago (to the day!) to see the spam cans Bude and Biggin Hill being turned.

I had to go.

It was similar to my experience of seeing Concorde 002's maiden in 1969 and then the final flight in 2003.

It just had to be done.
