Wessex trains' (new?) HSTs

I boarded a bright purple HST owned by Wessex trains today (departed 2:20(ish) Bristol Temple Meads-Weymouth from Plat 15 at Bristol TM), never seen one of these before since Wessex normally do smaller trains...it seemed pretty old and squeaky, and had those -lean-out-the-window-and-struggle-to-open-door-using-outside-handle doors ! (Some poor guy couldn't open the door at Keynsham, and had to travel to Bath Spa to get a train back!) Any idea where these trains have come from? I'll try and get a pic if I see it again!

Also, anyone see the steam train at Bristol TM a few weeks ago?

This is the Wessex summer service to Weymouth comprising top and tail Class 31s, one of which is painted bright pink!

You can see a pic of this in the thread called Summer class 31 workings.
