Some Sightings. 13.9.05.

Post by madhattie »

Some sightings while out and about today.

67016 +67018 ticking away at St Andrews Rd. 09013 beside them. two 66s were about, but couldn't see their numbers, too far away. The station itself has had a bit of a tart up. Fresh paint on the footbridge and loads of bushes have been ripped up from along the platform, including the bit of the platform never used by Joe Public!

Later in the day I had a quick visit to Patchway station. (for no other reason than I wanted to watch HSTs while munching my sandwiches) Loads of bugs, including 158832, which was new to me, loads of HSTs, one Adelante, which was a surprise, didn't know they did that route, and 66191 on a MGR.

Lots of nice pics of Patchway Junction, but very directional sunlight and lots of shadows. Great 'arty' stuff, but not so great 'archival' stuff.

I have no idea what this is, but it is by far my favourite 'building' in the area!

Not done the Patchway stuff yet.

I worked this out on my last visit there. This is a ready-mix cement plant! There's piles of raw materials stored nearby which feed via a conveyor into these two mixing towers. (the giveaway was a Castle Cement lorry getting filled at the bottom of one of the pipes!)
