Very nice, Ian. Well done. I especially like how you managed to get get the rods at the bottom (wink, wink).BristleGWR wrote:Near Corston on the return run.
Earlier in the day I wanted to film the train heading to Bristol so stood next to the A4 dual-carriageway near Bath, between the Globe pub and Newbridge. Normally the A4 is such a busy road that it is impossible to hear the train approaching as the traffic is deafening. But today the road had been closed to road traffic for the Bath half marathon. At 2pm when the train was due the only sounds were of the occasional family out for a 'quiet' walk or the sounds of birds. It was an eerie feeling but when the train passed in glorious light, it was a very good feeling. For once I could actually hear the train from Oldfied Park, Bath to Saltford. Happy days. <BJ>

Excellent photo! I did some filming near Corston and later near BTM. Not fantastic as I'm struggling without the viewfinder I've become used to. But it was satisfyingly loud - pity there was no whistle!
