Hi all for information, The old underpass at Charfield Yard is being replaced, there will be a Line possesion over christmas day and boxing day to replace the Deck, with a Concrete Item Being cast (apparently) on site.
The old Bridge which is a corragated iron job is old and rusty, Indeed if under the bridge when trains go over the amount of movement is quite Alarming. Also the Road and footway under will be closed for 5 weeks from the 13th of Dec.
As a consequence of the works the track from Station Road to the yard has been cleared and trees bushes cut back which has revealed the old Coal drop arches and base of the Weigh bridge I took some photos which i will post later Maybe for the website?
