A quick question
En route heading out of Temple Meads heading towards Wales/London just as you approach Stapleton Road there are two, single aspect "lamps" on top of a steel poles. From what I can see they appear to have white lenses...
Would I be correct in assuming that these are "OFF" signals for the reverse shunt back into the Binliner Depot at Lawrence Hill/ Barrow Road?

Re: Stapleton Road - Single Aspect Signals
Yep, they're interlocked with B583. When the signal has been cleared into Barrow Road RTS the shunter can hold down a plunger at the ground frame which illuminates the set back lights. The driver sets back on this authority and if the shunter releases the plunger for any reason the lights extinguish and the driver is expected to bring his train to a stand immediately.Rich_Eason wrote:Would I be correct in assuming that these are "OFF" signals for the reverse shunt back into the Binliner Depot at Lawrence Hill/ Barrow Road?
