Torbay Express runs in 2010

The Torbay Express will be running on May 30th, 6th and 13th June as well as every Sunday from July 4th - 26th September. It is likely to be a mix of Tornado and King Ed I.

The standard fare is ú75 but bookings made before 31st March for the 30th May, 6th June and 13th June trips will be ú65.
The carriages are due to be in GWR chocolate & cream livery to mark the GWR 175th anniversary.

I didn't see the morning run so can't advise on that, but it was on time or perhaps a couple of minutes early between Backwell and Flax Bourton on the return run.

It went in to the loop at Yatton on the return leg presumably having been in the way of X Country service.

6024 King Ed I is on the move to Taunton this morning and will be at Taunton Station for most of this week.

The move from Bristol to Taunton is below. It moves out of Barton Hill at 10.08, then leaves Bristol Temple Meads at 10.28, and stops at Yatton at 10.46.

Tornado has been withdrawn from service.

It might mean cancellation of some of The Torbay Runs in July.

Thought That I heard a steam loco passing through bath today (sat 14th)...possibly the king on a light engine move,never saw it...about 1.50 p.m. just as the sun came out. J.R.
