Had a phone call from my dad this afternoon to say that the steam loco 'Rocket' had arrived at Bitton. Unfortunately he didn't have his camera with him

popped over to Bitton this morning and just caught glimpse of Rocket steaming over bridge and towards bath. Waited around in hope of seing it return but the loco is apparently being run-in and was sadly ( for me due to lack of time) being run-in down towards end of line. Shame as I was armed with camera.
Will be gone by end of week. Looked like mr Antells lorry waiting in car park to do the honours.
found these clips on Youtube via nat preservation.

Just to reiterate shovel's comments, nothig was posted on our website until after it arrived as we were requested not to publicise it. Hope you all had chance to see it.
To commemorate the visit of the replica 'Rocket', the AVR had produced a limited edition print. More details here:

I acquired one of these, as a birthday present. Though the print itself is fine, I was a bit disappointed to discover the accompanying text contained some basic spelling errors, such as originaly and sucessful. "Stephensons Rocket" is a little careless, too.john2006 wrote:To commemorate the visit of the replica 'Rocket', the AVR had produced a limited edition print. More details here:
