at Filton Abbey Wood, there were two parts to it, but what is it? Can someone tell me what it is used for?

It looks like a Matisa product. Maybe a track tamping or measurements machine.

Thanks. I didn't really get the chance for a profile shot, or make a mental note of markings or details. Perhaps I ought to have taken a picture of it as it rounded the bend into the station.
