Bristol and North Somerset Railway
Surprised at low response, but thanks to hobbler.Have located a Bristolian who has copies of Railway Observer from 1950s to end of steam. Now have copyof article from Railway Observer written by Mark B Warburton (one of the members of the Bristol Railway Circle) Bristol Railway Circle have bound copies of every Railway Magazine from way back when, or they did have in the 1950s
There were a few good photos in the Norton Radstock free journal a few weeks ago. can't give details of where they aquired piccs but one was passenger train heading over rail bridge at bottom of thicketmead towards Farrington Gurney and bristol.
Second was a train in Midsomer Norton north station (Welton)
Third was train in Farrington Gurney halt facing Midsomer Norton (but according to caption it was picking up passengers intending to travel to Bristol.) and I recal the fourth being at Radstock with train about to depart and crossing gates closed. Interesting to see old cars and motorcycle.
I have been told there is some video footage of parts of line on dvd called steam around Bristol (cab eye view from diesel train ) but I have yet to buy copy to watch.
