Nothing unusual in this. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) will not proceed with a case if they don't think they are going to win. Losing doesn't do their stats any good in the government's eyes :wink:

The fact that other users have noted defects in the crossing means that the defending lawyer has a better chance of getting his client off.
