What no christmas book!!

Post by horace »

Pete, there was me expecting you to solve my Christmas present problems by writing another book for Christmas just like you did last year!!

Joking aside you must be hard at work on the new web site pages, i take my hat of to you for your commitment.

Just make sure you take a rest over Christmas and have a good one.

I'm supposed to be writing a new one, got the go ahead and everything, but just can't get my act together! Luckily i'm not on a contract :P

I have given a huge amount of hours to the new website (which currently stands at 1,792 pages!), mostly because it looks great and is going to be a great website to expand from.

I've had a bit of a break this week though, my eyeballs were somewhat fried with all the hours, so mostly I'm currently catching up on Flickr, watching football on TV, and repairing various bits of band equipment ready for the weekend!

Christmas should be good for you this year with your little 'un at the age he now is :D Chaos!

Happy Xmas

Post by jules »

Yep. Happy Christmas too!

Thought it had been a little quiet on here lately ....

I know what I'm buying myself for Xmas - Mr Rendell's book about the 1970's resignalling. I still don't know if I should forgive him though. Over in Norfolk, the semaphore's and SB's are still there and are quite, quite brilliant. Probably a bit out of geographical range unless you want 10,000 new pages to do though Pete!

I still remember Ashley Hill box being demolished as a kid - we thought the whole railway was coming to an end - and in a way, it did. Oh well, that's progress and soon it'll be due again, no doubt.

BTW, band? Which band? Where? Go on - I advertise here, so I think you should too :D

For me, the train operating season is now over and I'm spending my time planning and scheming over next year's operations. Watch this space is all I can say :D

It's a very good book, puts the whole closure of the Midland main line into a different perspective to me. Plus lots of facts and figures and amusing tales! great stuff!

The band is called Blackfire. Bit of an acquired taste, lots of heavy metal and punk, but I enjoy it! Our last gig of the year tomorrow (sat) at the Albert Inn, Bedminster. :P

I'm currently on my third stint with Blackfire, so you may have seen one of their other bass players :P I have memories of Osmium at the Full Moon though, so are paths have most likely crossed on several occasions!
