Horace, apologies from the owner of the bright orange sleeve peeping into that first shot...! Unfortunately it's difficult for the responsible officer at Bitton to do his job without getting in the way some of the time, and the HV is compulsory when on and about the line.

I wasn't sure whether to try the River Avon Bridge, 3 Arch Viaduct or Bitton Hill. It was quite busy there so thought the chances of getting a photo of either of those two bridges without too many people in the shot would be quite slim. Also it was quite windy so I was worried about the steam being blown down in front of the coaches on the hill shot!! In the end I think I made the right decision.
