Whilst I'm always up for a discussion/ argument on politics, especially when I read "conspiracy theories" like this one, is Bristol Rail the proper place to have it?
I've always found Mr Hattie to be most open minded about the discussions that go on in this section of the forums in particular. And my "political" post was related to photography and its supression, which *is* a hot topic and certainly would/does/will affect many users of this site.

Maybe nickt is extending the discussion slightly too far by making a contribution that has no relationship to rail, but IMHO it is still part of the same overall issue.

I'll go look at pistonheads.com for sure, thanks for the tip (and there are many, many other places saying similar things). In the face of what is happening, maybe the more that is said in the more forums and places - about supression of photography, etc., etc., etc. and all that goes with it, the better!

It is the best way to combat the problem. If us lot on bristol-rail are getting hot under the collar about it (and a load of other photographers too, it seems) - then it MUST be getting damned well serious :)

I'm more than happy with the discussion taking place here as well as elsewhere. As long as the discussions remain pleasant and opinions don't get forced on others then it's fine. It's always been very friendly here and I'd like to keep it that way.
