Some shots from the roadside at Newton Meadows, Corston. The train was about 15 mins late.

Having seen Ian's pics from 400 yards from where I went, I think I made the wrong call.
He even got the balloon
I took these pictures by Claverton Pumping Station.

Myself and a few others got lucky with the light at that location, a cloud cleared a few minutes before Tangmere was due and we were just starting to loose the sun behind the hills to the west, you can see from my first shot that the shadows were starting to creep up the line.
Nice shots from Corston in the morning Michael.

Ian thanks for the comments.
I would like to try a panning shot at Corston, but need to find out more about the technique. I wanted to make use of the telephoto lens yesterday lunchtime. Perhaps I will try taking a shot from the gap in the hedgerow on the road running up the hillside. There was at least one guy up there with a camera.
I had wondered if SD still took money for an exhilerating run to Bath. A few years ago, I was going back to London, and bought a single from Bristol to London from SD. Not the cheapest way to make the journey, but great fun.
