This is the original forum of the Bristol Railway Archive that existed between 2003 and 2013. I finally rescued it after it seemed unrecoverable after a large crash. I have made it available for viewing. It is locked, all posts to the new version please!
Use this forum to talk about the railways in and around Bristol, or for any off-topic stuff you want to share. Also request photos and information that you are missing.
Its definitely Clevedon - I saw this some time ago but never got round to sending him the information . It looks like one of the Terriers on shed and by the state of the yard and unusually small amount of stock present it was taken at about the time or just after closure of the line.
Spot on, the photo was apparently taken by H C Casserley in August 1940, just after the line closed and the loco is "Terrier" No. 4. The photo appears in several of the books about the W, C & P.
I knew the info would be immediately forthcoming on here ...
I'll send it on to him with credit to Bristol Rail Arc members for solving his mystery. Because he has it listed under BS2, I never considered he might be rather wide of the mark ...
