Apologies if this is written elsewhere and I've not spotted it but I was wondering if madhattie has any rules about submission of photographs to the main Bristol Rail site where the copyright holder is unknown?
I have been collecting photographs of Bristol Temple Meads for a number of years now but most of them don't have any copyright details. I would love to scan them and share them with people but obviously don't want to upset any copyright holders.
I see some sights have a note that the copyright holder is unknown and that if any copyright holder identifies a picture as theirs and they would like them removed then that will be done. Also pointing out that the site is not for profit etc.
Any thoughts?
Alex

I shouldn't worry about it. As long as you are not using their material for financial gain then you have nothing to worry about.
If a copyright holder subsequently comes along, simply credit them with the work on the site. If they object to their photograph being there (which given the material content would appear to be unlikely) then simply take it down.
