Hi, does anyone know if or where possible to get spares for bardic lamp. Dont wish to buy replacement lamp as one I have is perfect order except for plastic lens. Had for while but lens got fogged and scratched (oil and grime). does manufacturer still exist and would they supply.

J A Taylor railway supplies used to provide a comprehensive range of spares, however I haven't bought anything from them for several years and don't know for sure if they are still trading. They still have a website up at http://freespace.virgin.net/jat.railway ... page2.html with contact details, so you could give them a try. National Railway Supplies manufacture the bardics these days but I don't think they're particularly interested in supplying small volumes of spares to you and me.
You may well be able to pick up spares or even an entire lamp for very little money on Ebay.
An alternative is to upgrade to the Halo Plus2 lamp (the smaller halogen version as used by Virgin, XC, ATW and many others); I did and haven't regretted it. They take standard size C cells, so you don't need to go on the periodic hunt for the weirdo AD28 bardic battery.
