Unfotunately not, unless its dark at around 4.30 when the last train leaves Avon Riverside?!

And if you're planning a spot of DMU bashing, bring a coat because we haven't been able to get the heating working yet! In general this year things are starting earlier (first loco-hauled passenger off Bitton is 0900, first DMU service 1013) and finishing earlier because we ended up running rather late by the close of the event last October. So you may still get a chance for a bit of night photography!

Keep an eye on the timetable though, as certain passenger trains terminate and come out of service at Oldland Common or Avon Riverside with a while to wait before the next return service. There will be things happening and train movements to see/photograph during those waits but as most of you probably know there's not a lot of shelter at either Oldland or Riverside.

A few photo's taken this afternoon at the Gala. It was rather cloudy and dark and a bit cold!! It appeared to be running to time with perhaps a couple of movements ahead of schedule.

Taken from Bitton Hill - 73101, 7151 & 4015 triple head on the 7V79 freight (Dep Avon Riverside 15:00 Arr Bitton 15:07)

Taken between Bitton and Oldland Common 7151 & 4015 head the 7V83 freight (Dep Bitton 15:16 Arr Oldland Common 15:21)

2994 & 466618 arrive at Avon Riverside with the 1O84 service (Dep Bitton 15:40 Arr Avon Riverside 15:47)

4015 'Karel' at Avon Riverside prior to the departure of the 1V91 service (Dep Avon Riverside 16:23 Arr Bitton 16:30)

4015 'Karel' crosses the bridge over the River Avon on the 1V91 service (Dep Avon Riverside 16:23 Arr Bitton 16:30)

Whilst shunting the stock at the end of the day one of the diesels casts a bit of light on Littleton.
