Tytherington Trip

Post by stumpytrain »

Hi chaps,

I'm told they'll be a trip to Tytherington in the morning (08 October 08), they're bring stone out by rail. Not sure if any others will run in the next few days, no doubt the Gen masters will have more details!

It's appeared on the system for tomorrow, although, if I recall correctly, the last time they tried to send something up the branch the crossing equipment failed and they had to turn back. Hope it's fixed!

Here are a couple of shots of the train, headed by 59204 and loaded to 18JHA hopper wagons:

And coming off the branch at Yate.

Still problems with crossings, Being worked manually, another train tomorrow, both trains destined for olympic Village in London.

Hopefully a few more trips will knock the rust off the railhead!

Not just rust, Alex, 1 inch saplings standing in the 4 foot!, At Iron Acton there was a clearance crew out after complaints from the train crew about trees striking the loco's screen whilst traversing the branch(no pun intended). :P
