I know this is a daft question, but...

I know this is a daft question, but...

Post by nickt »

I know this is a daft question, but I click on a number of picture links in various postings and with a very small amount of exceptions the pictures do not appear, all that I get is a blank screen with address line accross the top. Am I doing something wrong or do I need special settings or software to view. Or maybe I am looking where I shouldn't.
Can some one advise please.
Thanks. :?

I imagine that the poster has since deleted the photo from wherever it was stored. Can you give a couple of instances so I can make sure.

I have kept list relatively short.
New photo (author APW )
Is this Ashton Gate
Finaly my gallery is live
Keynsham then and now
Fotopic gallery
to name but a few.
It is frustrating to read threads from various people who can see what I cant and talking about the interesting features. It could well be that some pics are removed.
Thanks

Okay, it seems that the photos you can't see are all those hosted on fotopic. Like James I've checked and they all work for me.

So, it would seem you have a problem with access to fotopic, either from your computer or some kind of block from your isp.

The only other thing I can think of is that you're using something like Firefox with one of the NoScript add-ons, or you have a security setting set too high on your browser.

Sometimes Fotopic does have problems, I've found that occasionally it will only display every other picture in an album, or just show the photo title instead of the image. Maybe this is what happened?

Aaaahhhhhhhhh. I give up....
Managed to look at keynsham then pic but not now, last night but tonight able to view now but not then.... If you get my drift. Also managed to view Kieths train pics posted may 02 2007 but not previouse links or some newer.
I am using windows xp with outlook express, norton antivirus on mid setting. I dont think there are any other odd settings or progs that might cause probs.. :x

Do you have a Norton Firewall?

I had this problem a couple of years ago. Norton's Ad Blocking and Pop-up Window Blocking feature was blocking most of Fotopic images!
