Barrow Road Bridge

One of my own pics this time. Cycling back from town, probably having spent the day at Temple Meads, I stopped at Lawrence hill and saw an 08, so stopped and snapped it. Date about 1985, as I would not have taken this route had the cycle track been open then.

I'm particularly pleased to have this shot, as my father grew up in Strafford Street, which was where the tower blocks now stand to the right. Dad used to go to his friend's house which backed on to the railway, go on to the embankment, watch the trains and catch wasps in the summer! Who needs an Xbox? If any of you have any pics that show the houses in Strafford Street, I'd really love to see them. My father would like to see them too, loved the one recently showing the old LMS signalbox here.
