The Cathedrals Express (60009 - 01/12/07)

Post by BristleGWR »

I assume this is still running tomorrow (due into Bristol at approx 14.29), full times are available here....

I haven't decided yet whether to try and photo 60009 or see Rovers at the Mem.

Rich,

Were you the chap who decided to walk across my line of sight as the train turned up?

My pictures may not get posted, they may need editing.

Not me.... :lol:

I was stood bit further up looking towards the bend just after the fixed distant signal on the wrong running line...sheltering by the bridge parapet and steps down. As far as I am aware t'was just me on my own....

Hope you arn't insinuating I ruined your pics are you?! :shock: :roll:

I would have been shocked if a contributor to this forum had ruined my shot when I'm capable of selecting the wrong apperture setting, or even forgetting the flash card! I had set up the camera on a tripod, and was surprised when someone planted himself directly in the line of sight just as the train showed up.

Rich, I was waiting in the end bay below the Holbourne Museum sheltering from the elements by the pine tree. Did you get the two 47s wiith the Pullmans? Tried taking some night shots at Temple Meads, will post something later. No offence meant!

Lets say I saw them! I've attached a pic but as you can see the weather was so grotty I didn't even stick my head out from under the parapet....hence the zoom shot.

Image

I heard them coming and toyed with legging it to the other end of the to catch a head on shot...but Rain + Mud = You've Been Framed moment. :lol:

My pics of UoSA arnt even worth sharing....:cry:

<Bit off Topic>

Ref your tripod...do you have it on a remote release or do you manually release the shutter on the camera...? I've toyed with this idea but just wondered about panning and focusing at the same time?

Parking at Sydney Gardens, is it ok to Park in the Museum car park? I've always parked out on the road, however one day I'll drive from Bristol and there wont be any spaces...just wondered for back up really.
