Pembroke Coast Express

Post by DAVE »

6024 KE 1 who has been in residence at EWS Barton hill for the last fortnight will be in charge of this Saturdays railtour to West Wales and return.
Also passing through with support coach should be 71000 heading to the south coast after a tour into West Wales starting and finishing in Newport.

6024 AND 71000

Post by DAVE »

A correction to my previous post.
6024 heads the Pembroke coast express this Sunday the 27th May.
71000 returns to Bristol Saturday night after a tour into West Wales from Newport.
The Duke then heads up the Devonian from Bristol to Plymouth and return on bank holiday monday. 71000 was originally due to pick the train up at Westbury but "pathing" difficulties caused the change.

Is this the normal "steam loco" support coach formation or as before plus supporting "diesel"...if that makes sense?! :?

Might go and have a look at FAW

Uksteam has it down as E+C which means engine + support coach, so there shouldn't be a diesel.
