I was banking on catching the 14:37 Paddington HST from Yatton today but alas this service was cancelled due to fire! So I waited for the 14:55 to Abbey Wood instead. Missed the FL 66 at Kingsland Road think it was 66617 but espied 67013 at BK. On arrival at FAW I thought that I would take some photos and so I did, you know the usual Voyagers/153s/158s etc and left at about 1540, big mistake as I was walking to the car park 47840 with 2 FGW barrier Mk2s went through towards Temple Meads.
Gutted aint the word

180 105 failed at Bourton to the East of Swindon after something fell off and a small fire broke out. 1A06 06.27 W-s-M - Padd delayed at BTM while pax for Chippenham and Swindon were detrained as 1A06 was to be diverted via B&H. Held again at Bath while FGW/NR control attempted to decide which way to send 1A06. Eventually we were told that it was to via B&H. 1A06 was looped Bathampton for 20 minutes while control tried to make some more decisions!! Eventually sent booked only to join a que of trains from Swindon waiting to pass failed train. Arrived Padd 66 late. Just yer typical day on FGW.

I was stood on the platform waiting for my train to BTM and felt the wake of North Star if that makes you feel any better?...

I'm wondering how long it will be before we start reporting sightings of each other on here? I think I may have seen you strolling about on the other platform towards the end and back?????

T'was not me Rich as I was on the bridge and if I had stayed there another 2 mins I would have had the chance to take a cracking pic.

Ah well I'll wave next time! I'll be the random station nutter.

I can do the shift when the "al-key" isnt hanging about with his can of Tennets Super T at 07:40 like he was the other day.

Yes I thought the same as it came through it had pronounced lean on the superelevation around the bend, did look good

I was interested to see how it was going to negotiate the rail infront of me which has 3 consecutive missing Pandrol clips
