This is the original forum of the Bristol Railway Archive that existed between 2003 and 2013. I finally rescued it after it seemed unrecoverable after a large crash. I have made it available for viewing. It is locked, all posts to the new version please!
Use this forum to talk about the railways in and around Bristol, or for any off-topic stuff you want to share. Also request photos and information that you are missing.
I was 8, the only real memory I have of the railways of that time was the cab road at London Paddington and the David & Charles coaches at Newton Abbot. Or did they go earlier? Anyway, at that time I was only interested in Kettles!
As this thread is about films I thought i'd ask here. Last week I bought the DVD 'Steam around Bristol'. Theres fantastic in cab footage of the trip from Radstock to Portishead, though it only really shows brief clips going through Whitchurch, stockwood, then on to TM & past Leigh woods.
Anyone know if the full film is available? Thanks for your help.
