A Miniature steam engine will be making a visit to the Avon Valley Railway over the half term holiday this week. The Class 5 4-6-0 "Black Five" locomotive is a scale model of the original train.
A special 60 metre (200 ft) track has been laid around the heritage railway's headquarters at Bitton Station.
The engine will be hauling visitors on February 18, 23 and 25.
It is owned by railway enthusiast Mike Bass.
The miniature railway ride will replace rides on the full-scale trains, which are closed at this time of year for repairs.
Rides on the miniature railway will cost ú1.
The Station Buffet will be open as usual, serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and cakes to passengers and users of the Bristol and Bath Railway Path.
The original Class 5 4-6-0 locomotive was run by the London Midland and Scottish Railway.
It was introduced onto the train network in 1934 and 842 were built between then and 1951.
The Black Fives were known as "do-anything go-anywhere" trains because of their versatility to pull both passenger and freight loads.
The Avon Valley Railway's events start in March and run through to December.
The company runs six steam engines, maintained by volunteers and donations.
Earlier this year it announced a ú1 million plan to double the length of its track. The railway wants to add a further three miles from its terminus near Saltford to Newbridge, at the western edge of Bath.
