This is the original forum of the Bristol Railway Archive that existed between 2003 and 2013. I finally rescued it after it seemed unrecoverable after a large crash. I have made it available for viewing. It is locked, all posts to the new version please!
Wandered over to the West Somerset Railway where Lord Nelson was running this morning, it was in charge of two trains, but was withdrawn later on today. I have posted some shots below.
The maiden outing on the mainline on the 21st October for 850 Lord Nelson has been cancelled.
The loco currently running in on the WSR was due to leave Minehead on that day and pass through BTM from the south.
It is felt that the loco will not be ready for this task and the trip has been cancelled.
850 will still be in action at the WSR gala and on other service trains for the foreseeable future.
Lord Nelson will be moving up to Bury from the West Somerset Railway, and will be passing through on Thursday Nov 23rd via Westbury, Bath Spa, Stapleton Road, Patchway and Severn Tunnel Junction.

I've been asked rather nicely to remove the timings of the move from the website. This has been done. Sorry if any of you are offended at this, or that (James) I edited your post, and (Dave) removed yours.
I didn't think it was a big deal, and you lot know when and where it's happening anyway!
I imagine there will be even more people out getting photos of it now that everyone wants to know why the owner didn't want anyone to know of the move than if he'd made a big fanfare of it! (is that English! lol! it's been a hard day)
Went over to Pilning to take pictures of the convoy - not some of my best I'm afraid. There were 8 others there, I suppose someone might have better shots than these.
