2 Gronks and a HST unit
Did anyone else see the odd formation of 2 BR blue Gronks coupled to a FGW HST power unit at BTM yest (25.9.06) at about 4:20? The power unit was called 'Exceter' and one of the Gronks was called 'Ivor'. The formation was stabled in platform 1 before it moved off to accomodate the next train. There were a few people at the platform photographing it!! Interestingly enough I also saw a class 57' Thunderbird (named Thunderbird) with a pendolino set in the little depit just outside of BTM on my way to Bath.

Re: 2 Gronks and a HST unit
I have to admit I hadn't noticed there being two 08s on the move to turn the power car. I only glanced out of the window while it waited in the bay. I would've thought they were FGW Green not BR Blue, certainly the ones passing through TM have been green; I only ever visit the marsh on nights and I'm more interested in cups of tea!BaggieBird wrote:Did anyone else see the odd formation of 2 BR blue Gronks coupled to a FGW HST power unit at BTM yest (25.9.06) at about 4:20? The 57 was taking a failed Voyager unit back to Barton-under-Needwood./
