Last chance to get haulage on these trains. From Nov 1st they'll be reverting to 2X 150s.

I'll be doing the TM-Bath and back this weekend 8)

Hopefully with your camera...

Be nice to have some interior shots too...a much neglected subject when it comes to rail photography! Livery's not just on the outside y'know

This is a shame, I'd just about got used to these services...aside from the mucky windows and flickery lights, I really enjoyed them on my daily travels from TM to Oldfield pk.

Well, we didn't get to go...

Ended up staying in work a lot longer than expected and the trains don't run on Sundays..

I did hear that the 31s turned up for work this morning as per normal! I haven't seen it confirmed yet though. Maybe Wessex put their clocks back a little too far...

Reportedly running until next Sat 6th November due to severe unit shortages.

After that, one set (31452/31601) will remain to work the FO 1252 TM to Brighton and 1657 return to Cardiff until 10th December. There are also a few rugby specials thrown in during the next few weeks, and a Weston Carnival related special on Monday 15th November (TM dep. 1830, WSM dep. 1909).

Oh, and if the passenger information system at unmanned stations is anything to go by, Wessex still haven't put their clocks back!

Will there be 31s running BTM - bath spa on Wednesday 3rd? I might go for a ride :D

Ticket prices are stupid...I don't understand it at all. I can buy a Saver return for ú15.60 Taunton-Bristol Temple Meads, but I could get Taunton-Bath Spa for ú13.30 as a Supersaver.

Why is it cheaper to go to Bath than Bristol? :?

Mike
This reminds me..

At Filton Abbey Wood they keep announcing the wrong platform numbers for trains headed for Wales.

They keep saying that the trains are departing from platform 1 (instead of platform 3) and on several occasions I've had to interve and stop people from struggling across the footbridge with their luggage. :?

Minotaur + train were slowly running north through Temple Meads on the through lines at about 11ish today. It stopped about halfway through and I wanted to get a photo as the lighting was fantastic...early morning sun shining into the trainshed basking everything in a warm orange glow...made the station frontage look especially beautiful too.

Would have got a pic of minotaur but by the time I'd got to the platform it buggered off

It's been a fantastic day today hasn't it? I've been out delivering and got some pics of bridges on the Midland route around Oldland Common, and, on my way back to the shop, stopped for a quick ten minutes on the footbridge at Lockleaze.

The low sun made photography a bit of a challenge though :?

Anyway, James, it's about time you got yourself a digital camera. Just think of all the opportunities you've had to get me some nice pics for the website :D
