I was there today taking a few pics with the permission of the current owner who informed me that it is due for demolition 'any time now'.

Another one bites the dust.. :cry:

Aha! Well I should have said leaseholder really! The yard is home to a garden centre and the bloke in charge was happy to let me wander around taking pics. There's an easily recognisable GWR weighbridge office slap bang in the middle of their yard!

He was quite pee-ed off that the landlord was going to demolish the station buildings. Apart from providing a very secure boundary fence to his business there had been previous mutterings about converting them into a craft workshop and cafe which would have complimented his business perfectly.

A pic of the station viewed from the nearby roadbridge. It used to be four tracks through here.
