THOMAS JOINS IN RAILWAY FUN
11:00 - 23 September 2005
Bitton:thomas the Tank Engine will be steaming back to the Avon Valley Railway on the weekend of October 1 and 2. The engine has been entertaining fans for more than 60 years, and bosses at the railway are expecting hundreds of people to turn up.
"Throughout their visit, Thomas and his friends will take over the railway's regular timetable," said Bill Miller, commercial services manager at the railway.
"Thomas will take charge of the passenger service and give everyone a trip along the whole line.
"In the meantime, his friends will be doing their best to control the Troublesome Trucks - all under the watchful eye of Sir Topham Hatt, the Fat Controller."
There will also be a bouncy castle, miniature steam railway, swing boat and chairoplane rides.
