Can you imagine the winter sunlight at Newbridge if we had a cloud free sunny afternoon? This could be good. <BJ>

The train is booked to stand outside Reading for 45 minutes waiting a path through the station.

I was gutted to miss Tornado this afternoon. I had just parked up by canal at Bathampton and heard train going past. i could see trail of steam through trees and mk1 coaches. weather was perfect as the photos of mow and chippy show.
As they say, so close and yet so far. Oh well. Triffic piccs as always guys.

These are absolutely fantastic photos - well done both of you!

I was also in the vicinity and took some film, much of which was reasonable, though I wish I'd been able to take some photos in such perfect conditions. Another pair of hands would have been useful.

Tornado would have passed you at about 3:10pm. You really must make the effort to get up a little earlier in the day!! Lol. <BJ>

It's been pointed out to me that my video looks "weird" either due to problems in the upload or youtube's "fix", so here's a re-upload which hopefully looks better: http://youtu.be/KmvQy10RIlY

It's difficult for me to be sure because of ongoing broadband speed problems in my area which affects youtube playback.

Must agree , that is an awsome picture. everything fell into place at right time for that.. Only thing that could maybe have been better would have been a dusting of snow...
