Train travellers trying to reach the London Live 8 concert from south Wales have faced delays and diversions after a railway line power failure.
Some 1,000 people were stuck for around three hours at Cardiff on Saturday morning, and Live 8 concertgoers missed several hours of the Hyde Park show.
Signalling was out, and people were put on buses to Bristol to catch trains.
First Great Western said a generator had been replaced and services were back to normal by mid-afternoon.
Trains between Cardiff and Bristol had been cancelled in both directions, also causing problems for people hoping to attend other events in London, such as Wimbledon and Gay Pride.
Among the stranded passengers were Sarah Lloyd and Carole Bennett, both from Cardiff, who were at the station by 0900 BST to catch the 0930 train to Paddington station.
But they were still in Cardiff at 1230 BST, along with hundreds of others.
Ms Lloyd, 34, of Radyr, said: "You can't blame them for a power failure. These things happen."
The pair were put on a bus to Bristol, with along with other travellers, and did not expect to reach Paddington station until 1540 BST. They hoped to make it to Hyde Park concert at about 1600 BST - three hours after the show began.
"There were still massive queues when we left. You could still see people from one side to the other. It wasn't going down that quickly," added Ms Lloyd.
