According to a front page story in last Friday's Post, there will be several new or re-opened stations during the next years.

Ashton Gate, Portishead, Filton North, Horfield, Ashley Down, Henbury, Saltford & Corsham.

I hope it's not exaggerated in any way!

If this story was as true as the Evening Post would have us believe, I would have expected other media to pick it up, notably BBC Bristol.

Nothing on Points West so far ;)

Without a Bristol Metro being written into the upcoming franchise, it's all pie in the sky. The city council seems to think that Bristol's traffic problems are going to be solved by the multi - million pound bus lanes, or whatever they're calling them. I think not.

Is the Council's plan to announce many plans and see which ones get the least people annoyed? I refer to the genius idea of ripping up the Bristol Bike Path for an " express " bus lane. That went sooo " public and messy. " Bristolians openly giggled and pointed.
