DOOR ON RAILS STRANDS TRAIN

A Passenger train was nearly derailed in Wiltshire by a door that had apparently been thrown on the tracks, police said yesterd ay. About 70 rail passengers were forced to sit and wait in Box Tunnel for two hours after the First Great Western train hit the debris.
The train was travelling from London Paddington towards Bristol Temple Meads when the incident happened at 11.35pm on Thursday.
Network Rail said it was investigating and was taking the incident seriously.
