Nowadays we frequently have the pleasure of seeing photos taken by contributors to this group of steam specials, and one of the most popular locations is the scenic section of the Avon Valley in the vicinity of Newton St Loe.
What surprises me is that I have never seen a single photo along this stretch taken during the steam era. As well as its self evident attractions of expresses on the Great Western, there was the Midland line running closely parallel with its picturesque bridge over the Avon, which on summer Saturdays would have been busy with holiday expresses heading to and from the Somerset and Dorset. I Would have thought that from the hills behind on a busy day there might be a chance of a shot with trains on both lines simultaneously. I find it hard to imagine how photographers (in particular Ivo Peters) could resist such opportunities - and yet apparently it was completely ignored.
Can anybody contradict my my impression by recalling any photos of this stretch they might have seen, or on the other hand suggest any reason for the neglect?

RE Neglected photo location
I have not seen any photos of traffic coming off the viaduct on the Clifton line at Kingswood junction. I have seen a few on the midland main line. Has anybody got a shot. Rog
