"The End Of The Night Riviera" on BBC News

Post by James »

BBC lunchtime news today had a feature on the Paddington-Penzance sleeper, and the objections to it's proposed cancellation.

Lots of talk about "the most romantic rail journey", and the history of the train inc a short interview with a representative from Swindon's "STEAM" museum in front of King

Clips featured 57603 "Tintagel Castle" (looks like a 47, sounds HORRIBLE  ), 47826 in Intercity Swallow livery (!), and a class 37 in Transrail livery hauling Intercity carriages accompanying a statement of how the Scottish sleeper services were saved by public pressure.
