A thread on RM web has some interesting photos of the goods line at Temple Meads and subsequent changes.

Well that thread was a little trip down memory lane. For a while in the 70's, I worked in a little workshop at the top of the goods yard known as the 'Scott Shop'. We looked after the yellow electric tugs known as Scott Trucks which were used for moving trolleys and Brutes around the station and NCL depot. The chargeman, Dennis Smith, was getting in to P4 modelling at the time and was very keen to encourage me to do the same. I was working to EM standards at the time. Sadly, Dennis had a fatal heart attack a few years later.
Favourite memory of a departure from the goods yard was a Midland Crab 42707 late one evening during a very dramatic sunset. That would have been about '64 give or take a year.
