Clouds gathering for the Bristol area as we speak. Should arrive in Bath/Bristol area by about noon on Wednesday. Probably last for a day and a half. <BJ>

I heard something whistling this afternoon as I went into Temple Meads to catch the 1530 to Chippenham, but I didn't get to see it. There was something in steam lurking at the back of Barton Hill TMD but, bereft of glasses, I couldn't see what it was :)

Tornado was in steam on the back road at Barton Hill, came past in the car at about 17.30. Spam can a couple of roads over also in steam.

So, more locomotives in steam at Barton Hill today than there were in the afternoon of 20th November 1965 at Barrow Road

Tornado passed Bristol Parkway today at 12:47 en route to Southall.
It was nice to see the loco sporting the Hope for Heroes headboard. <BJ>

Not possible to appreciate from this photograph but Britannia was hauling 11 immaculate blood and custard coaches. Very smart compared to the 14 coaches and 14 liveries of Tornado's charter to Bristol on 4th August. <BJ>
