The single line section will now be clear for the passage of train 2 etc. If the single line section ends at a ...

I noticed this last Wednesday, I too had bought many books and maps from Whitemans. It's a great shame shops like this are dying out, on line shopping is all very well but it will never replace the pleasure of spending time browsing the shelves.

Having passed this area countless times over the years, it's fair to say that somebody sat on the wall would have to have the legs of a large giraffe to risk being hit by a train. But then, when did any Network Rail spokesman ever have a real grasp of reality!

I too have heard 1st June as the start date for traffic.

With regards to the original Freightliner depot, I remember it being in use in the mid seventies.

It should remembered that rail fares in this country are the highest in Europe. The train operators and Network rail enjoy massive subsidies from the tax payer whilst paying directors huge salaries plus obscene bonuses. When fgw began ripping off passengers with parking fees the number of cars ...

This is exactly why this country will remain in the dark ages so far as public transport is concerned compared to civilised European cities. Of course it is to be expected that such an idea would come from these worthless cretins at the town hall. Funny how these retarded plans are always associated ...

The whole privatisation con has been and will continue to be a fiasco. The railway system will never be finacially self sufficient without millions of pounds from the tax payer.

It is a strange looking beast, the windows on the cab sides look like an after thought. Not sure they are quite up to the same standard of ugliness as the class 66's though. I'm always puzzled as to why the Irish class 201 which is similar to the 66's ended up with a reasonably good looking front ...

This sort of thing is happening all too often these days, it's worth bearing in mind that the police cannot confiscate your camera, film or order you to delete an image without a court order. Of course, had the BTP been called, the chap could have enjoyed the rest of his holiday in peace before they ...
