Ignore my previous comments on Mangotsfield Viaduct.

I have been talking to a local man who tells me the viaduct is still in situ alongside Siston Common. He says it wasn't very long or very tall, but was known as Mangotsfield Viaduct.

Hope this helps.

In Rail Centres: Bristol by Colin Maggs there is shown a copy of the freight timetable for 1953 (I think) for this line - Kingswood Junction to Avonmouth.

Might I suggest the viaduct was the one that ran from Clay Hill. across the bottom of Royates Hill (that bit is still there), alongside Gloucester Road and then over 13 arches to link up with the Montpellier/Avonmouth Line.

If anyone has a picture of this viaduct, I'd love a copy!
